An assembly station has at least two skewers (4,5) mounted on a positioner (1) to make doner kebabs from meat in the form of slices (23) and minced meat (24). One device (6) applies the slices of meat, and another device (7) distributes the mince. The positioner transfers the skewers between a station for applying slices (23) and a station for applying mince (24). Pref. the device has a rotating table with two or more vertical skewers (4,5) set 180 deg apart, about the rotation axis (2).
