<p>The protector consists of a false chassis or cradle (2) with lengthwise supports (6,7) resting on the base (4) of the truck, and a liner (1) which rests on the cradle and side walls (5). The liner and cradle have matching convex and concave surfaces respectively which fit together when the liner is in place. The lengthwise supports for the cradle lie in line with the truck's main lengthwise chassis members (8,9), and there is a gap between the underside of the cradle and the base of the truck body to absorb shocks. The liner is made from high-grade steel and held in place by standard fixings.</p> |
