<p>PURPOSE: To constantly maintain optimum picture state through the control of luminance processing and color processing at appropriate lightness/darkness levels. CONSTITUTION: A microprocessor (MC) 15 apples read video data to a luminance processing circuit 200 and a color processing circuit 300 and controls video signals at a contrast control part 4, a sharpness control part 5, a brightness control part 6, a color control part 7 and a tint control part 8 so as to be suitable for current brightness. Then, a luminance signal and a color signal suitably controlled by video data inputted by the luminance processing circuit 200 and the color processing circuit 300 are decoded by a matrix 13 and applied to a deflection coil 14. At the same time, since the vertical and horizontal synchronizing signals of ABL part 12 and of vertical deflection part 10 are applied to a deflection coil 14, and the video signals outputted by the matrix 13 are suitably deflected by the deflection coil 14 for display on a cathode-ray tube.</p> |
