PURPOSE: To obtain a wooden product having effects in a small amount thereof and low toxicity without any discoloration by adding an antimicrobial agent containing a complex salt of a thiosulfite silver complex ion supported on silica gel to a thermosetting resin coating and applying the resultant antimicrobial agent onto a processed product comprising a wooden material. CONSTITUTION: This method for producing a coated finished wooden product is to support a complex salt of a thiosulfite silver complex ion in pores of a porous silica gel, then add and disperse the resultant antimicrobial agent prepared by coating the surface of the silica gel with silica in a thermosetting resin coating solution, provide a thermosetting resin coating and coat the wooden processed product with the resultant coating. The resultant product is capable of providing sustained antimicrobial effects by using a small amount of the antimicrobial agent without damaging the human body such as toxicity and causing any discoloration. Furthermore, the antimicrobial agent is preferably added so as to afford at least 0.001-0.5wt.% silver content based on the nonvolatile content of the thermosetting resin coating. The average particle diameter of the antimicrobial agent is preferably <=40μm.
