<p>PURPOSE: To provide a system making a driver comprehensibly recognize the degree of risk at the time of abnormal approach to a front vehicle. CONSTITUTION: When the actual inter-vehicle distance is 70 (m) and the safety inter-vehicle distance is 40 (m), seven LED lamps (15a-15g) from the right end are turned off and the other LED lamps (15h-15j) are turned on on an actual inter-vehicle distance display section 15. Four LED lamps (16a-16d) from the right end are turned on and the other LED lamps (16e-16j) are turned off on a safety inter-vehicle distance display section 16 (figure 3 (a)). When the actual inter-vehicle distance becomes 30 (m), three LED lamps (15a-15c) from the right end are turned off and the other LED lamps (15d-15j) are turned on on the actual inter-vehicle distance display section 15, and bars extended from the right and left of the display sections 16, 15 indicate a 'collision' image.</p> |
