PURPOSE: To prevent generation of jam in the case of changing a paper sheet conveyance route despite a simple constitution. CONSTITUTION: A thin elastic member 3 having nerve a little stronger than a paper sheet P is projected to the tip end of a branch jaw 1 for changing a route between an approach route A and a refeeding route B and its tip part is set downstream (right in the figure) from the tip part of a paper sheet P sandwiched and stopped by a nip of inversion rollers 24. While the branch jaw 1 being in a position always shown by a solid line is swingingly rotated to a position shown by an imaginary line, the paper sheet P is conveyed in the arrow Y direction by the inversion roller 24 so that even when the tip part abuts on the elastic member 3, the elastic member 3 passes against the nerve strength of the paper sheet P so as to eliminate any possibility of damage and jam of the paper sheet P. |
