PURPOSE: To transmit connectionless data with small delay without extending connection by transmitting the connectionless data by using the transmission free slots of the transmission node of the connectionless data. CONSTITUTION: A general node to trasmit the connectionless data composed of more than one packets transmits connectionless data packets by using the transmission free slots of the present node after declaring that they are the connectionless data, the information amount and the destination node by a control channel. When a declaration is received, the destination node performs tuning to the wavelength of the node which performed the declaration in the reception free slots of the present node and returns ack through the control channel for the received packets among the connectionless data packets. The node which transmitted the connectionless data re-transmits the packets to be re-transmitted for which the ack is not returned by the slots by which the connectionless data packets for which the ack is returned are transmitted. |
