<p>PURPOSE: To make an information equipment have thin and compact structure. CONSTITUTION: A power source jack inserting part 14, a signal line connector inserting part 15, an external equipment connecting terminals 16, 17 and an infrared-ray transmitting/receiving part 18 for transmitting light signal, etc., are provided on the side surface of the body housing 10 of a personal computer. A battery pack 40 which is journalled by hinge mechanism (shaft line position is B) is fitted afterwards at the most rear part of the body housing 10 so as to be attachable/detachable. The battery pack 4 is rotated at the time of using the equipment and a slide preventive part 45 can be made to be located on the lower side. The battery pack 40 as a battery containing means has a cross-section shape connecting a front part 41 to the rear part 42 in accordance with internal battery arrayal and the recessed part 43 is formed along the longitudinal direction. Hinge mechanism 30 shaft-supporting the coverbody 20 at a position just over the recessed part 43 is arranged in an overlapped state. Thus, by such an arrangement structure that the position of hinge mechanism 30 is made to correspond to the recessed part position of the battery containing means, the equipment can be made thin while the increase of the depth direction size of the information equipment such as the personal computer, etc., is being restricted.</p> |
