The gudgeon pin is made from a sheet of springy material which has four sided which is rolled around an axis to form a spiral. The first and second sides are parallel to each other and have the same length (p) thus forming two sides of a rectangle. The distance (l) between these two parallel sides corresponds to the length of the pin. A third side is convex and contains one or more curved sections and/or straight sections and a folded back zone made up of a point or a straight section which defines a convex part contiguous with the rectangle along the third side of the rectangle. The axis of the pin corresponds to the rolled axis of the sheet metal which is an axis parallel to the plane of the sheet and perpendicular to the first and second parallel sides of the sheet before the rolling operation.
