PURPOSE: To stabilize the floating characteristics and to prevent a magnetic head or magnetic disk from being damaged in a rotary type floating magnetic head slider for a magnetic disk device even when a yaw angleθis changed, by making the floating amount of an outer rail equal to or smaller than the floating amount of an inner rail. CONSTITUTION: As to the magnetic head slider 1, in which a magnetic transducer 4 is provided at the side of air flowing out and a load point in the width direction is positioned at a center of the slider, the crown-shaped height C1 of the outer rail 2 is made lower than the crown-shaped height C2 of the inner rail 3. By this arrangement, the floating amount of the outer rail with comparatively fast circumferential speed of the disk and the floating amount of the inner rail with comapatively slow circumferential speed of the disk are made almost the same.
