<p>PURPOSE: To provide a relative velocity variable magnetic recording and reproducing device capable of magnetically recording and reproducing the image of a high quality picture element even at the time of a drum of a small diameter and recording and reproducing image information of plural kinds of relatively different images. CONSTITUTION: In order to temporarily record image information stored in a memory 1 with a recording format previously set corresponding to the number of the picture elements, a system controller 4 controls a magnetic recording and reproducing processing part 6 and controls a magnetic recording and reproducing mechanical deck 8 through a servo mechanism part 7 to make image information subjected to FM modulation with a central carrier, etc., characteristic to a selected format and to magnetically record image information subjected to FM modulation at a relative velocity characteristic to the selected format. On the other hand, at the time of reproducing, divided and recorded image information is assembled to be expressed on a single screen and is displayed at a display monitor part 14.</p> |
