PURPOSE: To provide a device for manufacturing an electric harness that can shorten the machining time for the electric harness manufactured by crimping an electric connector to both ends or to one end of an electric wire. CONSTITUTION: An electric harness manufacturing device has an electric wire reel portion 1, an electric wire inlet portion 2, primary and secondary electric wire chuck portions 3 and 4, a length-measuring chuck portion 5, an electric- wire-disconnecting portion 6, and front and back crimping portions 7 and 8. An electric wire W is pulled out by the length-measuring chuck portion 5 to measure the length thereof. The moving operations of the primary and secondary electric wire chuck portions 3 and 4 are driven by a cam. In this connection, the primary and secondary electric wire chuck portions 3 and 4 move along the electric wire W, holding the wire W before its disconnection by the electric- wire-disconnection portion 6. The primary and secondary electric wire chuck portions 3 and 4 also move to separate from each other after disconnection. Furthermore, cam-driven operations include those of the disconnecting portion 6, of the front and back crimp connectors C1 and C2, and a discharge rod of a discharging portion to send electric harnesses of the next process. |
