PURPOSE: To provide a camera provided with an automatic focusing device by which a picture with a small out of focus is taken by judging a subject as a moving body even when the moving speed of the subject is low. CONSTITUTION: This camera is provided with focus detection means 5, 6 and 7 detecting the focusing state of a photographing lens 1, monitor means 7 and 10 monitoring the movement of the photographing lens 1, an image surface moving speed arithmetic calculation means 7 arithmetically calculating image surface moving speed based on the detected result by the focus detection means 5, 6 and 7 and the monitored result by the monitor means 7 and 10, a moving body decision means 7 deciding the subject 2 as the moving body in the case the image surface moving speed is equal to or above, a threshold, a threshold setting means 7 setting the threshold used to decide the moving body, and consecutive photographing means 7, 14 and 15 performing consecutive photographing. The threshold setting means 7 changes the threshold when the consecutive photographing means 7, 14 and 15 are driven. |
