A terminal block (1) is arranged on a support rail (2). Connection terminals (4) on different connection sides of a terminal block are connected together by conductors (3). Transverse connectors connect the different terminal blocks to each other. The transverse connectors are formed from contact plugs (5) and current rails. The contact plugs contact conductors on one side and current rails on the other. The contact plugs are fork-shaped and contact the current rail at a slit-type inner contour and a conductor at their outer contour.
