<p>PURPOSE:To improve the performance of the optical neural network device. CONSTITUTION:In the optical neural network device equipped with a neural network means which optically processes the light signal supplied from an input stage and outputs the judgement result from an output stage as a light signal, the input stage and output stage are provided with light signal standardizing means 20 and 30 which control the sum of the light signal to a certain constant value. Consequently, the input stage standardizes a light input, so the intensity is made uniform regardless of a difference in pattern to perform the optical arithmetic. Further, the output stage also standardizes the light signal, so while the speediness of the optical arithmetic is maintained, stable association becomes possible.</p> |
