PURPOSE:To prevent the failure of optical connectors and fitting pins by providing detecting and stopping mechanisms so that the pushing of the fitting pins is stopped by stopping the revolution of a motor upon detection of abnormality at the time of pushing the fitting pins into pin holes. CONSTITUTION:A spring 10 is shrunk and the overload exerted upon a 2nd moving base 11 is absorbed when the 2nd moving base 11 stops on generation of the abnormality and only the 1st moving base 7 continues to advance. A shaft bar 8 fixed to the 2nd moving base 11 comes into contact with an abnormality detecting switch 9 fixed to the 1st moving base 7 and the driving of the motor 15 is automatically stopped by the control signal from the switch 9 when the 1st moving base 7 still continues to advance in this state. The pushing of the fitting pins 4 by push pins 12 is then stopped. Overloading of the fitting pins 4 and the optical connectors 2, 3 is thereby prevented. |
