<p>A method of recording and manipulating image data in which two-dimensional image data relating to a real scene (4) is recorded onto an image recording medium (5) using a film or video camera (6). Distance data relating to the positions of objects in the scene (4) is also recorded onto a depth recording medium (8) using a depth scanner (7). The distance data and image data are synchronised using a timecode recording on both media produced by a timecode generator (9). The image is subsequently manipulated taking into account the distance data.</p> |
