[Class 37.] In radio apparatus for use in automobiles or similar vehicles, the tuning condenser 3 is mounted with its axis vertical so as to minimize the effect of severe vibration and jarring ; and is remote controlled by a knob 21 on a control unit 20 mounted on the steering column, a cable 16 and pulley 10 being employed. The spring 12 tends to restore the condenser rotor to its maximum or minimum capacity position. The knob 26 acts as a volume control and switch. Specification 381,026 is referred to. |
