<p>PURPOSE: To provide a flat tube cutting method and a device therefor with a high productivity through high speed cutting. CONSTITUTION: While the relative speed of a fed flat tube 1 and a slider is zero, a roller cutter 28 at the tip of an arm 29 fitted to a cutter shaft crosses the flat tube 1. At that time, two cam followers 32 provided at the arm 29 roll on a protruding cam face 32b and a recessed cam face 31c formed at the cam face 31a of an internally contacting type positive motion cam 31, and while two cam followers 32 pass through rolling on the respective cam faces 31b, 31c (during the turning angleαof a camshaft 26), the arm 29 is guided by a guide 30 to radially retreat, and the cutting edge of the roller cutter 28 is linearly moved to cut the flat tube 1.</p> |
