<p>PURPOSE: To provide a treating method for bonding polyester yarn or aramid yarn having excellent adhesiveness to a rubber matrix, effective in the case of using the yarn for rubber reinforcing use in a cord state. CONSTITUTION: The characteristic of this method for bonding yarn comprises previously twisting a polyester yarn bundle or an aramid yarn bundle, treating the yarn bundle with a first treating agent comprising a polyepoxide compound and a polybutadiene rubber latex, successively subjecting two treated yarn bundles to yarn doubling, additionally twisting the doubled yarn bundles in the same direction as that of the previous twisting and then treating the twisted double yarn bundles with a second treating agent comprising a resorcinol/ formaldehyde/rubber latex, a specific chlorophenol compound obtained by co- condensing resorcinol with p-chlorophenol and formaldehyde and a rubber latex.</p> |
