PURPOSE: To provide an air bag device for the front passenger seat where the volume is small, an air bag is rapidly unfolded, the waist of an occupant is restrained, and the load to be applied to a windshield is small. CONSTITUTION: A lower panel 34 is lapped on an upper panel, and the peripheral parts are sewn together to constitute an air bag 18. An opening 38 for an inflator is provided in the lower panel 34. Flaps 46, 48 extended from the edge part of the opening 38 are connected to a container 16. A guide seat to guide the air bag 18 to be unfolded rearward of a vehicle is provided on the upper part of the container 16. |
