PURPOSE: To judge the presence/absence of hand fingers with high an accuracy and high reliability by preventing wrong decision caused by disturbance while simply constituting the sterilizer. CONSTITUTION: Concerning the sterilizer for discriminating the presence/absence of a detecting object such as the hand fingers in a sterilizing room while using a photoelectric sensor 21, this sterilizer decides the presence/absence of the hand fingers with high accuracy and high reliability by providing a light emitter 21a for outputting a pulse-shaped optical signal OS toward the sterilizing room, duty ratio varying means 36 for outputting the pulse-shaped optical signal of a fixed frequency and a different duty ratio from the light emitter 21a, and light receiver 21b for receiving a reflected optical signal RS reflected on the detecting object put in the sterilizing room. |
