AUXILIARY POWER SUPPLY FACILITY OF STEAM TURBINE PLANT

PURPOSE: To secure electric power inside a plant continuously from the normal operation even in generation of abnormality. CONSTITUTION: A steam turbine plant is provided with a condenser 12 for condensing steam from a steam turbine into water, and a cooling water pump 18 for supplying seawater pumped from the sea 1 as cooling water to the condenser 12. The condenser 12 is installed on high ground along the sea. A water storage tank 13 is installed on a hillside of the high ground. The condenser and the water storage tank are connected to each other by an upstream side discharge line 24 through which cooling drain from the condenser is to be guided into the water storage tank. Moreover, a downstream side discharge line 25 for returning the cooling drain in the storage tank is connected to the water storage tank. A water turbine 17 is provided on this downstream side discharge line, and a water turbine generator 37 is connected to this water turbine.
