<p>A thermosetting epoxy resin powder coating composition comprising: (a) at least one epoxy resin having on average at least one 1,2-epoxy group per molecule, (b) at least one optionally substituted, saturated or unsaturated heterocyclic organic compound being a 1 ring system of either 5, 6 or 8 members that contains at least one carboxamido group represented by general formula (I) or by its isomeric structure (II) wherein the carbon atom and nitrogen atom that make up each carboxamido group are members of said ring system, and (c) at least one quaternary ammonium or -phosphonium salt, wherein compounds (a) preferably cyanuric or isocyanuric acid, and (b) are present in such amounts that the ratio of equivalents of epoxy groups provided by compound (a) to moles of compound (b) (ratio 1) is lower than 3.0.</p> |
