An apparatus (20) and method are disclosed wherein a linear array of electromagnetic radiation emitting devices (30) are arranged in association with moving workpiece (22). Electromagnetic radiation emitted by array is received by two or more receivers (24 and 26). Several non-contact measurements may be obtained on a workpiece using the present apparatus and methods.
