Fuel injection valve for IC engine

The valve has an auxiliary element (33) with an insert (40), which is arranged in a through opening (51) of an axial, tubular support (35). The support has at least one radial channel (53) in its wall for supplying gas for mixing with the fuel, and which is connected directly to the opening. The insert acts as a jet splitter, and splits the flow discharged from at least one spray aperture (25) into different directions, downstream from the aperture. The support and insert components may be made from plastic, and the support may have supporting, gas-supplying and sealing sections arranged axially behind one another.
