The invention relates to an implement for milking animals, such as cows, comprising one or more milking robots (11) with one or more teat cups (28) and using one or more milking parlours (1). In the above implement, the teat cups (28) are provided with means of transport, with the aid of which a teat cup (28) during the movement to a teat cup carrier (29) is kept in an approximately upright position. To realize this, the means of transport comprise at leat two cables (33; 34) connected with the teat cups (28), where one cable (33) extends essentially horizontally and one cable (34) extends essentially vertically.
