A control system which is arranged adjacent to a robot mechanical unit and on which maintenance work can be easily carried out. The control system is constituted by a first unit (1) and a second unit (2), and the first unit (1) mainly contains components each having a low maintenance-demanding property while the second unit (2) mainly contains components each having a high maintenance-demanding property. Further, the first unit (1) and the second unit (2) are connected such that they can be mechanically and electrically separated from each other with ease, thereby making it possible to effect replacement unit by unit. $$
