<p>The invention relates to a plastic cable tie (1), having a tie-band region (2) provided with latching elements (3), having a latching region (4), comprising a baseplate (5) and two side walls (6, 7) having a web (8) which is located therebetween and has a latching lug (9) for engagement in one of the latching elements when the tie-band region (2) is arrested in the latching region (4), and having a release element (10) which is arranged on the latching region (4) and is intended to cancel the arresting action.
