The solid body is made from a number of elements (1a,1b) with recesses (3,6) in their facing surfaces which form slots (6') when they are joined together to receive the ends of plates or rods. The body has at least two elements which are situated symmetrically in relation to a plane passing through the centre of the body, and equipped with end couplings (1a') which hold all the elements together under tension. The couplings can be in the form of slotted and toothed projections or threaded. The number and position of the slots in the body determines the shape of the three-dimensional structure that can be made from the body combined with the plates and/or rods.
|
