<p>PURPOSE: To provide a method for manufacturing an iron head which can move the center of gravity of the head of a club downward by employing a material that can ensure the plate to be bonded tightly to the main body of the head and has a lighter weight than the material of the plate. CONSTITUTION: Cope 4 of a first mold, cope 6 of a second mold and drag frame 3 are provided wherein the shape of the rolled side of the cope 6 of the second mold is almost similar to that of a plate 2 and the area of the rolled side is slightly larger than that of the plate 2. Further, the change of the pressure welding area and pressurization point of the mold is used to make the plate 2 deform thus making its periphery fit into a deep tank of the head main body 1 by using the first mold to perform primary rolling in respect to the plate 2 at a slightly smaller area and a pressurization point. Next, the plate 2 is made to further tightly combine with the head main body by pressing the plate sufficiently via a slightly large area and pressurization point of the second mold. Thereafter, the surface is made flat by cutting the same with a fraise, and the manufacturing process is finished via the step of engraving score line in the plate with a CNC engraving machine and the step of buff polishing.</p> |
