<p>PURPOSE: To provide an epoch-making and inexpensive pickling device excellent in mass productivity, capable of pickling a large quantity of food material in a short time with the fibrous matter in the material retained even without the need of any hard-to--handle pressure device or large-sized vacuum device. CONSTITUTION: A swinging mechanism is formed to vertically swing a housing body 2 containing a food material such as vegetables to be pickled, and so designed as to gradually raise the body 2 to a specified height and then allow the body 2 to fall freely by its own weight; a cover 3 put on the food material is furnished, via guides 6, with weights 5 in a vertically swingable way relatively to the cover 3, these weights 5 are supported by elastic bodies 7, and the elasticity of the elastic bodies 7 is set in such a way that, when the body 2 is vertically swung by the swinging mechanism, the cover 3 is swung concomitantly, and the elastic bodies 7 are swingingly stretched/contracted to effect the vertical vibration of the weights 5 relatively to the cover 3.</p> |
