PURPOSE: To provide a Japanese word processing system which can analyze the morphemes of Japanese words including the polite expressions and also can produce the Japanese sentences of polite expressions. CONSTITUTION: An electronic dictionary 2 which is used in a morpheme/syntax analyzing process 1 gives the treatment value corresponding to the higher and lower standings as attributes to such words that can serve as the subjects and objects among those registered words. In a semantic analyzing process 3, the semantic interpretation is applied to the sentences including the polite expressions based on the treatment value of the dictionary 2. Meanwhile a treatment value arrangement table 4 decides the treatment expression form of a verb based on the difference of treatment value between a subject and an object set against the difference of treatment value among a speaker, a listener and a subject of a Japanese sentence. Thus the Japanese sentences are converted into those including the polite expressions by referring to the table 4 based on the syntactic analysis result and the treatment value of the analyzed word. |
