PURPOSE: To enable the smooth speed change operation of the synchronous device of a speed change gear, by forming each chamfer at the opposed ends of a sleeve spline and the synchronous gear and forming the basic part side surface of the chamfer having a large surface top angle to an R surface. CONSTITUTION: The synchronous device of a speed change gear has a sleeve 10 which is externally fitted with a driving gear in a slidable manner in the axial direction. The sleeve 10 is constituted of a sleeve body and a sleeve spline 12 which is formed on the inner peripheral suface of the sleeve body. On a driven gear 7, a synchronized gear 17 which can be meshed with the sleeve spline 12 by the slide movement of the sleeve 10 is formed. Each chamfer 22 is formed at the opposed ends of the sleeve spline 12 and the synchronous gear 17, in the axial direction of the speed change shaft. The surface top angleαof the chamfer 22 of the sleeve spline 12 is set larger than the surface top angleβof the chamfer 23 of the synchroniged gear 17. Accordingly, the sliding resistance is reduced, and the smooth speed change operation is enabled.
