PURPOSE: To perform an automatic processing without caring about longitudinal and lateral magnification from photographing till reproducing by photographing by changing magnification in a longitudinal direction and a lateral direction without changing a picture range imprinted and optically or magnetically recording information showing the ratio of the longitudinal and lateral magnification on a photographic film at the time of photographing at different aspect ratio from normal aspect ratio. CONSTITUTION: In the case that the frame image of film is photographed by an anamorphic lens, the information concerning the anamorphic lens is optically recorded on a frame, so that a photointerrupter 36 reads the information and outputs it to a CPU 40. In the case that the ratio of longitudinal and lateral magnification of the image being scanned now is (β), a motor 31 is controlled through a controlling circuit 34 for the speed/direction of the revolution of the motor so as to make film carrying speed be 1/βtimes as high as normal speed. Thus, the frame image is magnified byβtimes in a carrying direction and the ratio of longitudinal and lateral magnification of an image after being converted is made to beβtoβ, so that it is made to be equal in the longitudinal direction and the lateral direction. |
