PURPOSE: To lead a picture for a left eye to a left eye and a picture for a right eye to a right eye and to enable plural observers to view a stereoscopic picture in a wide visual area even when the eyes of the observer are moved without using special spectacles such as polarizing spectacles or shutter spectacles nor using an optical system element such as a special lens plate as a main element. CONSTITUTION: Left and right half-faces including the vicinity of the eye of the observer are detected and the point light emitting position of a point light emitting device 5 is controlled based on the information so as to control the optical path of the picture displayed on a picture display device 4, whereby the information of the picture for the left eye and the information of the picture for the right eye are led to the left eye and the right eye of the observer, respectively. Thus, the observer views the stereoscopic picture without necessitating the special spectacles. |
