Angle=cut knife shaft with spiral knives to make wood chips

The knife shaft consists of one or more hyperboloid knife heads (1) with chipping knives (14) on knife holders (2) with counter-plates (3). There are several of the chipping knives on one knife holder. The length of the knife holder equals the width of the knife head. The chipping knives are held in place by chip-breakers (15,16), and their width equals that of the chips being produced. Their side flanks are hard against each other. They are fitted with their chip run-off surfaces axially parallel to the knife shaft axis.
