<p>A method for the treatment of an indirect inguinal hernia or related condition in a male or female animal, including a human, comprises administering to a subject in need of such treatment human or other calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) or an analogue thereof having CGRP activity, optionally in association with a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier and/or excipient, in an amount effective to cause closure of the hernial sac in the subject.</p> |
