The sheet guide arrangement has a backwardly deformable leaf spring (7) arranged behind the surface (8) of the guide plate (5). The spring has a clamping nose (10) at its U-shaped fastening end which engages a locking hole (11) on the guide plate. The leaf spring is adjustable arranged in the feed direction of the uppermost sheet of paper on the pile (2). More than one spring can be arranged on one side of the pile.
