<p>An electrical connector has a number of contacts (3) protected against external forces when its counterpart (100) is away. The contacts, even if bent somewhat, can be inserted smoothly into the counterpart. This multiple-contact electrical connector (B) comprises a cover member (4) disposed movably in an outgoing direction inside an insertion space (2) formed in its body (1). Hole portions (41) of the cover member (4) accommodate the distal ends of the contacts (3). A spring (5) for biasing the cover member (4) and an engagement mechanism (10) for restricting the position of the cover member are disposed between the body (1) and the cover member (4).</p> |
