PURPOSE: To provide a slide fastener tooth and its improved formation method and device therefor which leave no square ridge line portion and manifests a smoothly curved surface as a whole after a wire material-made tooth to be obtained from highly productive rolling formation is tightened to a fastener tape. CONSTITUTION: A tooth wire material whose fitting leg portions L, L are integrally formed into an approximate C shape by means of rolling processing and which has an approximately Y shaped section, is supplied intermittently at a predetermined pitch, and this wire material is cut off in order at a predetermined thickness, and at the same time, a mountain portion is formed at a meshing head portion.
