PURPOSE: To obtain the subject composition composed mainly of a specific ethylene-α-olefin copolymer and excellent in characteristics such as softness, flexibility, moderate elasticity, mechanical strength, heat stability and thermal resistance. CONSTITUTION: This resin composition is obtained by compounding 100 pts.wt. of a resin component consisting of (A) 50-100wt.% of an ethylene-α-olefin copolymer obtained by copolymerizing ethylene with a 3-12Cα-olefin (preferably, 1-butene) and having a melt flow rate of 0.01-20g/10min, a density of 0.86-0.91g/cm<3> , a maximum peak temperature measured by differential scanning calorimetry(DSC) of >=100 deg.C and an insoluble matter content in boiling n-hexane of >=10wt.% and (B) 0-50wt.% of an ethylene (co)polymer (preferably, a copolymer consisting of 50-99.5wt.% of ethylene and 0.5-50wt.% of vinyl acetate) obtained by high-pressure radical polymerization with (C) 0.005-5 pts.wt. of an antioxidant (preferably, a phosphorus antioxidant such as trisnonylphenylphosphite).
