PURPOSE: To eliminate a feeling of physical disorder of damping force felt insufficient, excessive, etc., by setting a contraction/extension side damping coefficient of a shock absorber, placed in a contraction/extension side in accordance with a direction of roll moment generated in a car body, respectively to a relatively large value. CONSTITUTION: In a device arranging damping force variable shock absorbers 3FL to 3FR between each wheel 1FL to 1RR and a car body 2 to control by a controller 4 step motors 41FL to 41RR of switching damping force of these shock absorbers, output signals of vertical acceleration sensors 51FL to 51RR, provided in each wheel, are input to the controller 4. From a deviation of springing vertical speed between the right/left wheels, a roll each speed is calculated, also to decide a direction of roll motion. In accordance with this decision result, in order that a damping coefficient of each shock absorber placed in a contraction/extension side is made equal to that of the conventional shock absorber, a target control amount is set to a relatively large specific value. |
