PURPOSE: To diagnose the deformation of a structure by itself, and to restore the structure by itself at a proper deformation value by practically using a shape memory alloy in an optimum mode. CONSTITUTION: Wires 30 made of an NiTi alloy and an ultra-elastic alloy wires 32 having a small diameter of 0.1mm-1.0mm are bundled in a linearly bound shape, thus forming a large diameter of 4mm-10mm. At least one of the wires 30 made of the NiTi alloy and the ultra-elastic alloy wires 32 having the small diameter constituting the structural steel material is used as a sensor detecting the quantity of distortion, and buried into a structure. When the structure is deformed, the structural steel material 28 is distorted, and the changes of the electric resistance of the wires 30 made of the NiTi alloy and the ultra-elastic alloy wires 32 are detected, thus deciding the quantity of the structure deformed. The whole structural steel material 28 is heated by electric conduction, etc., thus displaying restoring force restoring a shape to a shape before deformation, then properly controlling the deformation value of the structural steel material. |
