PURPOSE: To efficiently separate and treat shell meat and shell of a shellfish by immers ing a shellfish in an aq. soln. containing an anaerobic bacteria group to liquefy shell meat as monomeric org. matter and decomposing the monomeric org. matter to meth ane gas by methane fermentation bacteria to convert the same to inorg. matter. CONSTITUTION: An org. solid being matter to be treated, for example, a shellfish is preliminarily charged in a basket box 2 along with its shell to be thrown in a treatment tank 1 and the treatment tank 1 is hermentically closed by a lid. At first, an aq. soln. containing at least an anaerobic bacteria group is injected into the treatment tank 1 so as to perfectly immerse the shellfish in the aq. soln. That is, anaerobic fermentation is started and shell meat is converted to lower fatty acids by an acid forming bacteria group to be liquefied. Next, the org. acids generated in the preceding process are decomposed to gas such as CH3 or CO2 by a methane bacteria group to be made inorg. in a gas forming process. At this time, the aq. soln. containing the anaerobic bacteria group and the shellfish are uniformly stirred by a stirring means 9 and heated to the optimum temp. by a heating pipe 10. |
