An apparatus for removing solid and/or liquid components from a gas comprises a rotor equipped with a number of baffles 4 which are distributed over the circumference of the rotor and essentially extend in planes which contain the rotor centre line. At their radial end section, the baffles are provided with a slot-shaped passage 6 to allow condensed moisture and solid particles to pass through in a radial direction. In between the baffles, the rotor has air discharge openings 5 which are separated from the slot-shaped passages 6 by small walls (partitions) 7. <IMAGE>
