Packing station of packing machine

The packing station (10) has a work table (12) with turntable (22) having at least four sectors (16). The sectors are spaced out from each other and turn about a common axis (30). They form a guide channel (38) for a packing strip to pass around the stack of goods on the turntable. The sectors have teeth (32) co-axial with the turning axis. There is a drive (34), engaged with the teeth, to turn the sectors. The teeth may be internal or external. The drive may have gear wheels, two engaged with each sector, and all linked by a connecting device to synchronise the drive.
