The invention relates to a homogenizer valve (1) which comprises a pressurized, movable valve cone (5), a valve seat (6) and a valve housing (2) which surrounds the cone (5) and the seat (6). The valve cone (5) and the valve seat (6) are disposed such that a throttle occurs between them which constitutes a homogenizer gap (11) having a gap height (h). Both the cone (5) and the valve seat (6) are preferably rotationally symmetric, which implies that the homogenizer gap (11) is radial. By extending the total length (l) of the homogenizer gap (11), a lower gap height (h) will be obtained. The longer gap length (l) has been realised in that the homogenizer gap (11) has been given an undulating pattern along the radial throttle. The homogenizer valve (1) is intended to be employed in existing homogenizers and has been specifically produced to be able to achieve effective homogenization of liquids which are processed at a lower pressure and at a higher flow rate, such as, for example, pasteurized milk. |
