The brush (13) can be moved across the line of travel depending on the lengthways attitude of the front wheels (4), using the adjuster (18,21) coupled to the front wheel steering. The adjuster combines a movable part (18) in resilient contact with a driver (21) moved by the wheel steering system, the driver mounted on a steering track-rod (20). The brush is mounted on a holder (18) which slews on the chassis (2) round an axis (19) spaced from the axis of the brush (13), using the driver (22) to swing the holder (18) round its axis so as to change the angle of the holder to the chassis. This rotation axis (19) lies between the front wheels and the holding arm etc. (18) joint (25) swivels round a horizontal axis at right angles to the chassis line, using Bowden etc. cable at the brush end of the holding arm (18) to change the angle setting of the joint (25). The brush is powered off a flexible shaft (16) as joined via worm gear (15) to the brush shaft (14).
