Device for separating biscuits into single units on baking tray

The device has wheels (12) on a frame (11), an entry side (13), and two adjustable cutting stations (21) and (22). Underneath the cutting stations is a track (31) on which a reversible bogey (32) can travel which carries the baking tray (41) driven by a conveyor belt. Underneath the track are heatable cleaning water containers. Operation of the cutting stations with their respective knife sets (221,222) is achieved by cams driven by a common shaft. In operation, the baking tray is fed under the first cutting station to its end position and the knifes cut the biscuits into long strips. The bogey then moves to its second position under the second cutting station where a cross cutting action of the second knife set cuts the biscuits into individual pieces. At the same time the first cutting station moves to the cleaning water container. Finally the baking tray is moved out of the apparatus on the conveyor belt. As the first cutting station moves to complete its next cycle the second cutting station undertakes its cleaning cycle.
